Hong Kong Descente Cup 2014

Hong Kong Descente Cup golf championship celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, Hong Kong Descente Cup had moved the venue to the impressive Mission Hills Dongguan golf complex for even greater challenge and enjoyment. The annual golf gala this year was supported, attended and loved – as always – by a myriad of distinguished parties, including VIPs of Descente brands, the elite of the trade, professional golfers, media enthusiasts and showbiz stars. All of whom had witnessed the wonderful evolution of Hong Kong Descente Cup as it entered the 10th year!

The Hong Kong Descente Cup 2014 at Mission Hills Donguan saw the participation of a record-breaking total of 140 golfers. They were divided into – namely: Munsingwear, le coq sportif Golf Collection, Descente and Calvin Klein golf – four competition groups for tee-offs, impeccable swings, putts and utmost enjoyment. Apart from these Descent brand VIPs, we were also delighted to receive the in-person support of a host of showbiz stars, including Simon Yam Tat-wah, Eric Tsang Chi-wai, Nat Chan Pak-cheung and his wife Cecilia Wong Hang-sau, Michael Miu Kiu-wai, Patrick Dunn [Tang Chi-fung], Edmond So, Stephanie Che Yuen-yuen, Yvonne Lam Yi-kei, Linda Wong Hing-ping, Danny Lau Dan and Albert Au Shui-keung. Moreover, a line-up of PGA pros also joined the stars to swing for utmost fun to testify their recognition and appreciation of Descente brands of golf gear and fashion.

It’s party time after the day-time competition! All players returned to the clubhouse to enjoy the sumptuous dinner hosted by Descente Hong Kong. There were also spectacular entertainments, fun-filled games and remarkable operatic recitals, which were performed by powerful David Quah and mellifluous Jovita Leung Chung-yee with songs from Phantom of the Opera. Impressive singers and lingering melodies! The recitals were followed by prize presentations, during which more than HK$1 million’s worth of prizes were awarded to the due winners.

Meanwhile, a brand new chapter will open as Hong Kong Descente Cup enters its 11th anniversary in 2015. The next Descente Cup decade promises to be a series of ever more fun-filled golf spectaculars! So let’s see each other again swinging on the green in 2015!
